Kiwanis Park
Weiler Engineering Corporation (WEC) teamed with our sister company, Exotic Pools By Janeen, to prepare analyze and prepare four Concept Plans for the Kiwanis Park Veterans Memorial and Eternal Fountain area near the Justice Center and Laishley Park. WEC prepared detailed layouts and alternative materials for a variety of components, including pavers, engraved memorial walls, fountain and lighting styles, and examples of rebuilding or refurbishing the existing memorial wall.
Over the course of two years, WEC staff worked closely with TEAM Punta Gorda, veterans groups, and other interested citizens in the community to develop multiple options. WEC provided cost estimates for construction and long-term maintenance estimates for each plan. Long-term maintenance was a key consideration when selecting the size and amount of electricity and gas a fountain would utilize.
