Project Overview
Weiler Engineering Corporation (WEC) serves as the City of Marathon’s engineering consultant for the Marathon’s stormwater project. Services provided include full construction administration, engineering, and inspection services.
WEC provided full time construction inspection for all 9 collection systems, 6 wastewater treatment plant sites and the remote vacuum pump station. WEC construction managers were responsible for ensuring proper coverage of inspectors, responding to contractor RAI, pay request evaluations, developing field engineering solutions to issues encountered in the field, providing final walkthroughs, and permit closeouts. Many individual areas received grant funding from a variety of programs, and WEC was responsible for ensuring that each contract followed the specific grant requirements of the agency issuing the grant. In some cases different agencies issued grants for the same project and WEC made sure the reporting requirements were fulfilled for both. WEC managers met regularly with auditors and were commended for their record keeping.
